This is the building that houses the majority of the council workers who run the city. It's the first port of call for anyone having any council related problems.
Built in the 1950s and opened in 1962, it is considered by many Plymothians to be one of the ugliest and most out of place buildings in the city. Currently under grade 2 listed building status, this fact won't be changing any time soon, although the council itself (who oppose this listing status) is fighting to change it. With a developing city like Plymouth, which is building up momentum on it's quest to become a 21st Century city, it really needs a modern and attractive 21st Century Headquarters. Hopefully there will be changes soon...
