Central Park is the main park of the city of Plymouth. Located in a fairly central location - thus the name - it is home to various gardens and sports fields as well as Home Park (Plymouth Argyle's football ground) and the Mayflower Centre (leisure centre).
If you want a nice long walk in a beautiful environment, then this is a good place to go. It's also an ideal location for picnics in the summer as there is plenty of open space to find your perfect spot.
You might also want to play some Pitch and Putt golf if you are in the mood for whacking a ball around! Although the course found in Central Park can get quite busy during the main summer months as it is only 9 holes in size. But it could still contribute to a good day out.
As well as various other sports fields (baseball, football and rugby) there is also a bowling green where you will quite often see some competitive matches being played.
Whether you want to kick a ball around with some friends, take part in pitch and putt golf, bowls, baseball or rugby games, or simply want a relaxing walk in a beautiful area, Central Park is great location to visit!
