Wembury beach is located on the south coast of Devon, just outside of Plymouth in Plymstock. It is quite a small and rocky beach when the tide is in, but there can be a decent area of sand when the tide is out. There are lots of rockpools around the beach, which can be very fun to walk around and explore all the marine life found within them.
There is a cafe just off the beach, which sells lots of tasty drinks and snacks...including classic cream teas! Just opposite the cafe are some public toilets that are always welcome when you are at a beach in the middle of nowhere.
A Marine Centre can be found off the beach as well, which holds various activities and things to see and read about for the academic person in you!
There is a fairly spacious car park as well, but during busy periods it can be difficult to find somewhere nearby to park.
Along the beach there is a good long walk enabling you to see the beach and coastal area from other angles - all of which are beautiful views. You will often see lots of people walking this route with their dogs or going for walks / runs along the coast where the air is lovely and fresh!
